Key Scripture: One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. Psalm 27:4

God’s presence is not just an experience but a place where He desires us to dwell. The word Mishkan means "dwelling place," and one of the most powerful ways we experience this is through fellowship with other believers.

Fellowship is where we strengthen one another in faith. Proverbs 27:17 reminds us, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." When we come together in faith, we encourage each other, helping one another grow in our relationship with God. The Christian journey was never meant to be walked alone. In 1 Thessalonians 5:11, we are urged to "encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."

Beyond encouragement, fellowship is where we experience the manifest presence of Christ. Jesus Himself said, "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them" (Matthew 18:20). There is a unique and powerful experience of God's presence when believers gather in unity whether in worship, prayer, or shared devotion.

Fellowship also aligns us with God’s purpose and calling. Romans 12:5 declares, "So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." We are interconnected, created to function together as one body in Christ. Each believer has a role, and through fellowship, we are equipped and encouraged to fulfill our God-given assignments.

In difficult times, fellowship provides the strength to stand firm in faith. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 paints a clear picture: "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up." When trials come, a strong community of faith helps us persevere, reminding us that we are never alone.

Beloved, the Bible encourages us:
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25

When we gather with others in Christ’s name, God is present among us. Fellowship strengthens our faith, provides encouragement, and deepens our experience of God's presence.

Reflect on this questions:

Am I intentional about engaging in Christian fellowship?
Do I encourage others in their walk with God?
Am I allowing myself to be sharpened and strengthened by fellow believers?

PRAY THIS: Heavenly Father, thank You for calling us to dwell in Your presence, not alone, but in fellowship with others. Help me to prioritize gathering with fellow believers, to encourage and be encouraged. May our fellowship reflect Your love and draw us closer to You. In Jesus matchless name, Amen.
