Main Bible Verse: The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. — Psalm 145:18

Prayer is not just a religious practice; it is the lifeline of our relationship with God. The concept of Mishkan (God’s dwelling place) reminds us that He desires intimacy with us, and prayer is the doorway into His presence.

Jesus Himself modeled a life of prayer, often withdrawing to be alone with the Father (Luke 5:16). He also taught:

When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. — Matthew 6:6

Through prayer, we not only speak to God but also learn to listen to Him. It is where we align our hearts with His will and experience His peace:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. — Philippians 4:6-7

Just as the Mishkan (Tabernacle) was a place of continual communion with God, our lives should be marked by ongoing fellowship through prayer.

Reflection Questions:

Am I setting aside time to seek God in prayer daily?

Do I approach prayer as a duty or as a privilege to encounter God’s presence?

Am I listening for God's voice, or only speaking to Him?

PRAY THIS: Heavenly Father, draw me closer to You through prayer. Teach me to seek You, not just for what You can do, but for who You are. Let prayer be my constant connection to Your presence, where I am renewed, strengthened, and guided. In Jesus Glorious name, Amen.
