In our previous message [Part 1], we explored the reality of heaven and hell. Today, we will talk about a biblical example that illustrates God's judgment and the consequences of sin.

The story of Sodom and Gomorrah serves as a stark reminder of God's wrath against sin. Genesis 19 tells us that these cities were consumed by evil, and their wickedness reached a point where God could no longer tolerate it.

As 2 Peter 2:6-7 says, God condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what will happen to the ungodly. And if He rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the depraved conduct of the lawless...(NIV)

This event is also mentioned in Jude 1:7, which says, "In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire."

God's judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah demonstrates that He will not tolerate sin forever. The same God who destroyed these cities is the same God who will judge the living and the dead (1 Peter 4:5).

As Psalm 7:11 says, "God is a righteous judge, a God who expresses his wrath every day."

Let us take heed of this warning and live righteous lives, fleeing from sin and its destructive consequences. May we seek God's mercy and forgiveness, and may His Word guide us on the path of righteousness.

As 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 says, "Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor sodomites nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

May God bless you and keep you. May His Word be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Amen.

Please don't forget to share to bless others.
