Matthew 5:13
You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste (its strength, its quality), how can its saltness be restored? It is not good for anything any longer but to be thrown out and trodden underfoot by men.

Why did Jesus call us (believers) The salt of the Earth?

Quickly let's see something at (Genesis 1:26-27)

[26]God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth. 
[27]So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. 

From the verse 23, it says let men(You and I / believers) have authority over everything upon the earth including the lost sheep (unbelievers)

We are all born with a talents, and that talent is to be used to fulfill our God-given purpose on earth not just for our personal gain.

And so the moment you become a born again beliver, you become good for something. And you have a role to play in promoting the Kingdom of God. 

It doesn't matter who you are and what you cannot do. Everybody can do something to promote God's kingdom, that's why at Church we have singers, instrumentalist, ushers, pastors...etc.

All of us come together from one body in the Lord as far as the promotion of his kingdom is concerned. [1 Cor 12:12-30]
 
Note...
Anyone who does not use his God-given talents for the kingdom, is the image of salt that has lost its 
savor. Unfruitful servants are good examples of salt that has lost its savor. Jesus said, an unprofitable 
servant is good for nothing.

There may be salt in your food but it must be enough if it is to have any effect. 
You are the salt of the earth, so you must make your presence felt in this earth! Are you good for nothing in the kingdom?

Our usefulness as believers is to keep men from perishing.

Let's all from today be profitable servants by using our talents, knowledge, money, etc... to promote the kingdom of God.

If you can't preach, you can share the word on your social media hundles, mostly at your WhatsApp status.

Or you can use your talent to promote Gods kingdom at your church, school, home and work.
So as a free believer, never let a day pass without evangelizing. For Jesus said.
We must work the works of Him Who sent Me and be busy with His business while it is daylight; night is coming on, when no man can work. John 9:4

Let's us wake up for this Call and Start doing the work of our Lord Jesus.

For there are tons of people out there, desiring to be fed with the Word of God. 

SAY THIS: I will be a Profitable Servant.

May the Lord bless us all and grant us the strength to fulfill our purpose on earth before our departure so that we shall become profitable servants at the end in Jesus name... Amen.
