For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the Fountain of living waters, and they have hewn for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns which cannot hold water. [Jeremiah 2:13]

In today's world, we are constantly searching for something to satisfy our deepest longings. We are bombarded with promises of happiness and fulfillment from social media, advertising, and cultural norms. But often, these promises lead to empty, broken cisterns.

Where are you looking for happiness and fulfillment today?

Are you trying to find it in things that won't last (like social media, money, or temporary pleasures)?

Or are you looking to God, the one who can truly satisfy your deepest needs?

Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Isaiah 55:1

Come back to God, the source of true life! He's the only one who can fill the emptiness inside you.

But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life. John 4:14

Beloved, let's stop trying to find happiness in things that don't work and instead come back to God and find our satisfaction in him alone.
