Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
All has been heard; the end of the matter is: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole of man and the whole [duty] for every man.
[14]For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it is good or evil.

In Ecclesiastes 12:13, Solomon reminds us of the duty of man.
And what is that duty? To fear God and keep His commandments.

To fear God means to have respect for His power and authority. It means to recognize that He is the Creator, and we are the created. It means to humble ourselves before Him, and to acknowledge our dependence on Him.

To keep His commandments means to live according to His will, to follow His guidance, and to obey His laws. It means to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves.

Also, we need to prioritize our relationship with God, to keep Him at the forefront of our minds, and to seek His guidance and wisdom in all we do.
[Matthew 6:33]

This is the duty of man. This is what it means to be a man. Not to be successful, not to be accomplished, but to fear God and keep His commandments.

May God give us understanding, and bless us as we fulfill our duty, and may we bring honor and glory to Him.

PRAY THIS: Dear Lord, help me to fulfill my duty as a man. Help me to fear You, to keep Your commandments, and to remember You in all I do. In Jesus' name, Amen.
