An Arrival Mentality

Arrival mentality" refers to the mindset of feeling like one has finally "arrived" at a destination or achieved a goal, and then becoming complacent or resting on one's laurels [past achievement].

1 Corinthians 8:2
If anyone imagines that he knows and understands anything, he has not yet known as he ought to know.

When it has to do with knowledge, nobody has the monopoly of knowledge. [AJS]

Today, as many people rise with visible results, it becomes difficult for them to humble themselves and continue learning.

Arrival mentality is the cancer of most people with results and even great men. And it one reason why most great people fail or fall and come back to square one in life.

AJS once said, "Yesterday's excellence will always be tomorrow's mediocrity".

In our spiritual journeys, we must continually seek to deepen our relationship with God. Yesterday's prayers, yesterday's devotions, yesterday's service - they're not enough for today.

We must press on, striving for greater heights of faith, greater depths of love, and greater works of service.
We must give ourselves continues learning (1 Timothy 4:15-16).

There is a saying that... "The moment you think you've arrived, you've already begun to decline."

To avoid being a victim to this, you have to maintain a growth mindset, continually challenge yourself, and strive for ongoing improvement and learning.

ALWAYS NOTE THAT: The victor's part is Continues learning.
