Divine Speed Transforms

BIBLE VERSE: And Simon answered, “Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets.”  And when they had done this, they enclosed a large number of fish, and their nets were breaking. [Luke 5:5-6]

It is the desire of every person to fulfill set life ambitions in a very timely manner. For example, it is expected that a typical newborn baby will follow the natural cause of development into an adult. However, not every baby eventually grows into adulthood e.g. due to adverse physiological conditions not within their control. In such a situation, the parents of the baby are often left distraught.

There’s always something undesirable about delays or the lack of a natural progression in life. No wonder the Bible puts it more clear, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled is a tree of life” – Proverbs 13:12

Following a protracted period of delay, the natural man typically resorts to giving up after having tried all options.

But there is always hope in God. When God grants a person divine speed, all that they have lost can be restored in a jiffy. As was the case with Peter, Hannah and Elijah.

Let's draw inspiration from the Holy Bible to see how divine speed can influence aspects of our lives thus:

Career: Peter, the professional fisherman had toiled all night without a single catch to show for his efforts until he encountered Jesus Christ (Luke 5:5-6).

Marriage: Hannah remained childless after so many years of marriage until she encountered God in Shiloh in a certain year (1 Samuel 1:11-20).

Ministry: The case in view of the Prophet Elijah remains one of the greatest effects of God’s hand on a mortal man — Elijah ran a distance of 16 miles in a very short time thus making him the fastest man in living memory. (1 Kings 18:46)

Beloved, receive divine speed in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
