📖Revelation 16:15📖
“Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.”

2 Peter 3:14 says, 'So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.' Are you sure you are spotless before the Lord? Is your garment not stained with hints of pride and lust and greed and some sort of impurity today? Settle every doubt you may have about your relationship to the Lord, and make ready in your heart for his second coming which is so imminent these days.

As the days go by, we are one day closer to his coming than you may ever imagine it to be. The Lord saids in Matthew 24:44, 'Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.' The day for Christ's second coming is without prior notice to anyone, not even to believers. Jesus taught that as it was in the days of Noah and Lot when men ate and drunk and married and could not know until destruction came upon them, so shall his coming be(Luke 17:26-37). However, the Bible also says in 1 Thessalonians 5, 'But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.

If then we are not in the darkness to be surprised unprepared, we ought to be walking in the light of the Gospel, bearing the fruits of true Righteousness and Holiness so that we too would be seen in Him when he is revealed. We should not continue in unholy and impure acts, or we risk being vomited out of his mouth because of our hypocrisy(Rev. 3:16). Then would we be under the same judgement as the unbelievers or the world(Mat. 24:45-51).

The Bible says in Romans 13, 'The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.' By now you should be putting on your full armor of the Lord if you left it down as a believer. Because a little while and time will be no more for repentance or prayer. It is written in Hebrews 10:37, For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.”

The atmosphere of the world today is such that men will feel sleepy and lose faith in God. But you ought to stay awake in prayer till the end and preserve your soul for everlasting life in Christ!

GOD BLESS YOU.
